The Hour That Made the Man is a 56-page, printable Catholic field manual about Blessed Fulton J. Sheen. Across eight weeks, your family will read true stories from his life, talk about what courage looks like at home, and take on a mission together.

Sheen was once called the worst speaker his coach had ever heard. He grew up to become one of the best-known voices on television, speaking boldly about the faith and confronting the lies of communism. Yet he returned each day to the Blessed Sacrament. That is the heart of this book: courage grows when we stay close to Our Lord.

WHAT YOUR FAMILY WILL DO

• Read eight stories from Sheen’s life, one each week
• Talk through the questions and take on a practical mission
• Use the Battle Log to notice faithful efforts throughout the week
• Bring the story into family prayer and make time for Mass, Confession, and Adoration
• Invite younger children into the same lesson with a Little Hearts mission and a coloring page

The main lessons are written for approximately ages 9–14. Little Hearts options help children about ages 4–8 join their older brothers and sisters. Read it together at the kitchen table, use it in your homeschool, or guide one child through the missions at their own pace.

INSIDE THE 56-PAGE BOOK

• Eight four-part lessons: the story, a discussion, a mission, and a coloring page
• An eight-week plan and a quick start guide for parents and teachers
• Growing Hearts and Little Hearts missions, plus optional Hard Mode challenges
• Guides to Confession, a Holy Hour, and the Rosary
• A Battle Log, Field Sketchbook, pocket cards, mission stickers, certificate, glossary, and sources

The book invites children to make time with Jesus in Adoration. If a full hour feels too big right now, begin with fifteen minutes. Sit with Him, bring Him what is on your heart, and begin again another day.

PRINTING YOUR BOOK

This is a digital PDF download, sized for US Letter paper (8.5 × 11 inches). No physical book, binder, folder, binding machine, or printed supplies will be mailed.

Print the pages at home or through a print shop. You can place them in a three-ring binder, have a copy shop spiral-bind them, or use a home binding machine. For sturdier pieces, print the certificate and pocket cards on cardstock; the mission stickers can be printed on sticker paper. The Battle Log can be printed again as your family needs it.

Your purchase is licensed for one family or one classroom.

My prayer is that Blessed Fulton Sheen becomes more than a name your children remember. May his example encourage them to tell the truth with courage, return to Jesus when they fall, love the sacraments, and keep taking the next step toward the saints God calls them to be.

Add the book to your cart and begin the first mission together.
