These traffic cone and stop sign counters are made for a construction sensory bin, a classroom math shelf, or a child who points out every work zone from the back seat. They are the same cherry cones and maple stop signs that come with our Construction Ten Frame, sold here on their own in sets from 10 pieces up to 100.

The two woods give the set its color. The cherry cones are a warm reddish brown and the maple stop signs are pale, so a child can sort them by shape and color, build a set of ten two different ways, or line up a cone, sign, cone, sign pattern along a block road. There is no paint or dye on any piece.

Each piece is cut from solid hardwood, laser-engraved on both faces (stripes on each cone and the word STOP on each sign), and finished by hand with food-safe beeswax and jojoba oil. At about 2 inches tall, they are sized for small hands.

Open-ended by design. Bury them in a bin of dried beans or rice with a toy dump truck (not included) to dig out and count, lay the stop signs at the corners of a block city for toy cars to stop at, use them with a ten frame or whatever math curriculum you already use, or hand out a few as construction party favors.
