Miss Lu | Delta Social Skills

Social-Emotional Learning Specialist

Hi, I'm Luciana Pacheco (Miss Lu): I'm a former classroom teacher and behavior therapist turned social-emotional skills educator and curriculum developer. I created Delta Social Skills to help children build emotional intelligence, strengthen self-esteem, develop practical social skills, and grow in confidence—while feeling supported in being exactly who they are. After years of working with children in classrooms and providing individualized support, I noticed something important: children often want to make friends, feel included, communicate their needs, set boundaries, and navigate everyday challenges, but they aren't always taught how. Just like reading, writing, and math, social-emotional skills can be learned and strengthened through practice, guidance, and encouragement. That's why I created engaging, practical lessons that help children understand their emotions, recognize their strengths, communicate effectively, navigate friendships, set boundaries, and approach social situations with greater confidence. My background in Psychology, Autism and Behavioral Science, classroom teaching, and behavior therapy has shaped the way I teach. My approach is practical, neuroaffirming, and focused on supporting children, not changing who they are. Since launching Delta Social Skills, I've had the privilege of teaching thousands of students around the world and receiving more than 700 five-star reviews from parents who have shared their children's progress in confidence, communication, emotional awareness, and friendships. My goal is simple: to help children understand themselves, connect with others, and feel confident being who they are. Because social-emotional skills can be taught and learned, children can build emotional intelligence and develop a toolbox of practical skills they can use in the moments that matter. 💛
