Public School Teacher Turned Homeschooling Mom

My journey began in the public school classroom, where I worked as a teacher and developed a love for helping children learn in meaningful ways. But over time, my teaching journey became much more personal when I became a mom. Homeschooling changed the way I looked at education. I began to see even more clearly that learning is about so much more than completing assignments or checking boxes. Some of the most important lessons happen around the table — through Scripture, good books, thoughtful conversations, and the everyday opportunities we have to shape our children’s hearts and character. As a mom, I wanted resources that would help me intentionally teach godly character without making our homeschool day feel complicated or overwhelming. I wanted lessons that were rooted in Scripture, rich in meaning, and simple enough to actually use with my family. That desire eventually became CTC. I created CTC to help other families have those same meaningful conversations at home. Through Scripture, timeless stories, discussion, copywork, hymns, and practical activities, CTC helps parents guide their children in understanding biblical character and putting it into practice in everyday life. My hope is that these studies give families more than another homeschool lesson. I want them to create moments around the table that children remember — moments where learning, faith, and character come together.
