Laresn does not like life on her planet. She has learned about Earth and begins to dream of a better life. As the story opens, she is in flight away from her planet. She is driving a school airship. How far can this small airship go? What kind of a driver is Laresn? No one knows of her plans, but she knows no one has escaped their planet before.
