The effects of dyslexia are more than just bad spelling and illegible handwriting. I didn't realise I was dyslexic until I was forty-one and by that time I had lost my job more times than I can remember.

Sometimes dyslexia can go unnoticed for years, almost half a lifetime in fact.

When I finally realised why I could never hold onto a job, it came as a huge shock but it was also liberating. It gave me the freedom to make mistakes.
