New York City, 1947. The war is over, but for Patrick and Betty Ramshaw, the real fight is just beginning. Patrick has the technique to be a pro-wrestling star, but he's missing the persona that puts bodies in seats. When an opportunity knocks, Betty sees what Patrick cannot, a path to the top that begins with a cross-country gamble. Trading the stability of the Big Apple for the unpredictability of the open road; the couple steer their way through a landscape of rogues, eccentrics, and ringside schemes. It is a trek fueled by grease, grit, and the search for the perfect gimmick. Patrick and Betty aren't just looking for a win; they're looking for an identity. In the golden age of the mat, Patrick will have to decide, is he the hero the fans need, or the villain they'll pay to see?
