Deep in the mysterious world beneath our feet, a crumpled piece of newspaper becomes an unlikely hero.

When a nameless Krinkle is born from a discarded paper, a friendly companion named Emo gives him the perfect name: Scoop. Together, they explore a strange underground realm where trash becomes treasure-from half-eaten burgers to fallen candy. Along the way, Scoop meets Coach Al, one of the teachers in this curious world, and discovers the joy of food, friendship, and finding your place.

Scoop's First Day is a whimsical, heartwarming tale for young readers about identity, kindness, and seeing the magic in things others throw away.
