What if everything you were looking for was already a part of you?

Toto is a cheerful little pink axolotl who lives in a peaceful lagoon. One morning, after looking at his reflection, he begins to wonder: "Who am I?"

Hoping to find the answer, Toto visits his friends. He tries to jump like Rina the frog, wonders whether he might be a fish with legs, and even attempts to walk sideways like Moly the crab. His experiments lead to bubbles, leafy mustaches, funny tumbles, and plenty of laughter-but Toto still worries that everyone has something special except him.

With a little help from his friends, Toto begins to notice the wonderful qualities that were there all along: his tiny legs, his long tail, his flower-like gills, his curiosity, and his courage to try new things.

The Axolotl Who Wanted to Know Who He Was is a heartwarming picture book about identity, confidence, friendship, and learning to appreciate what makes each of us different.
