While many pass through an engagement with the profession, those who endure prefer to forget. For her students, old and young, social and artistic development went hand in hand. SMALL GIFTS: A MEMOIR OF AN ARTIST IN THE CLASSROOM celebrates the soul of teaching as a calling.
