Interactive fiction for ages 10 to 12. You're a smart kid with no future until you win a competition to become a scientist's apprentice and work on a secret project. You are the main character, and every choice you make changes the story. There are many ways to succeed, and even more ways to come to a sticky end. Oh... and watch out for guardbots. They might be a bit dim but they never give up on a chase!
