Mishka's Window Tales: The Fox Who Came to Stay

Most cats nap. Mishka watches the world.

In this heartwarming picture book about kindness, curiosity, and looking past first impressions, a wise orange tabby cat teaches a young girl that not everything you've heard about someone scary is true.

Everyone says foxes are sneaky. So when a small, rust-colored fox shows up at Mishka's glass house, the girl isn't so sure what to think. But Mishka doesn't seem worried at all; he simply watches, calm and curious, the way he always does.

Through quiet patience and one small act of kindness, an unlikely friendship grows, and a gentle lesson takes root: when something feels scary, curiosity and kindness are usually the better first step.

Perfect for ages 3-6, this is a warm, beautifully illustrated read-aloud for bedtime, storytime, or the classroom; an approachable way to talk with children about fear, empathy, and not judging others by reputation alone.

Book 1 of the Mishka's Window Tales series. More gentle animal adventures with Mishka are coming soon.
