When Ava finished her first year of school I was excited that she had made it through her first academic year. There were a lot of challenges: fears to overcome, nervousness, separation anxiety, and adjusting to a new environment. But, there were a lot of successes along the way as well. When Ava came home on her final day of kindergarten I reviewed her drawing book and thought, "this would make a great little book to show other kids that kindergarten has a lot of fun things to learn about and do."
