Kaia, a mixed race girl of 13, wakes one morning to find the whole world has changed overnight. For a start where have all the people gone? And where is her father? He had taken her to stay in a hotel for a night before going on a birthday rollercoaster treat. Without people, the world starts to change from a civilised place with phones, TVs and cars to a wild and dangerous one with danger around every corner. Go with Kaia and see how she survives, and if she survives.
