Future Doctor, Start Here is a practical, encouraging guide for doctoral students who are ready to begin their dissertation but do not know where to start.

Written from the perspective of an experienced dissertation chair, this book simplifies the early dissertation process into seven clear steps: topic, problem, purpose, methodology, theory or concept, instruments, and research questions. With plain language, real examples, and direct guidance, Dr. Jeffery Chernosky helps future doctors move from confusion to clarity and from scattered ideas to a focused, defensible study.

Designed for Ed.D., Ph.D., and international doctoral students, this book offers the calm, practical voice many students need at the beginning of the journey.

You do not have to figure this out alone. Future doctor, start here.
