This humorous and educational children's book (ages 3+ years) teaches that it's okay to explore, be curious and use your imagination while learning about the different types of sea creatures that live in the ocean. Finnegan, a fish who lives in the great ocean has an encounter with a strange, split tail being who comes splashing through the ceiling of the Sea. His quest to learn more is met with discouragement from authority figures but encouragement from his friend Gabrielle who is also curious. When Finnegan has another encounter with an even bigger mystery, his world-view is changed forever. This book teaches kids about many of the different types of creatures that live in the sea as well as encouraging them to be curious and to question authoritarian narratives.
