The Hernández family is finally feeling at home in their Muslim community. Omar and María are doing great at their new school; they have made plenty of good friends, and their parents are well-known at the mosque.

When summer rolls around, Mami decides that they will travel to Puerto Rico to visit family while Papi goes to Hajj. Since Eid al-Adha falls in the middle of summer break, they will have to spend it with their non-Muslim relatives in Puerto Rico, but none of them are Muslim.
