Bastian is an eleven year old boy. Bastian has autism. Bastian doesn't like being outside without a purpose. Bastian's parents think that all children should go outside and play in the sun and fresh air. When they make Bastian and Sophie go outside and play, Bastian immediately homes in on the first available indoor location he can find, an abandoned school building.
