"This method guides students in mastering the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd strings with whole, half, and quarter notes. Before progressing to the next step, they hone these skills on the 3rd string, 2nd fret, using the long finger (2nd, left hand). For kids, pressing on the 3rd string is made easier. Transitioning to the A note, students can also use the 1st and 3rd fingers (left hand), to prepare themselves for C and D notes on the 2nd string. Mastering C & D paves the way for playing F and G notes. Crucial exercises on each note develop strength in both hands. Along the way, students learn music theory at the right time."
