A Typically Random Extraordinary School Day

By Patrick Enders

Start your morning with a boy who is very sure today is going to be terrible... until it isn't!

From a wake-up call powered by a vacuum cleaner, to minty toothpaste mixed with orange juice, to hitching a ride on a giant yellow dump truck instead of a school bus-this hilariously unpredictable adventure turns an ordinary school day into something unforgettable.

Along the way, our hero meets the people who make school special:

• a wise janitor with college-level advice

• a patient teacher who always knows what to say

• caring friends who trade snacks, share laughs, and race to recess

• and a big brother who pretends to be tough-but gives the best walk-home hugs

With each silly surprise-from a jammed book bag to wild lunchtime trades to recess at the tetherball pole-he discovers that even the most random day can turn into a pretty great one.

Filled with bright, expressive cartoon illustrations and joyful storytelling, A Typically Random Extraordinary School Day celebrates friendship, family, school life, and the wonderful chaos of being a kid.

Perfect for early elementary readers, classroom read-alouds, and anyone who knows that even the most ordinary days can become extraordinary.
