Meet Lola Luz Rivera, a seven-year-old with a big grin, a blue dolphin hair clip, and a royal love for clicky cups, bendy straws, and crinkly everything. When her one-and-done habit gets out of hand, Lola starts turning a little... plasticky! Hair like bendy straws, squeak-squeak steps, and see-through elbows turn an ordinary week into a laugh-out-loud, sound-effect-filled adventure kids will beg to hear again.

But being part-plastic isn't all slide-speed and waterproof perks. Hugs are hard, wind is wild, and Lola feels squeaky-sad-until Mamá, Abuela, and best friend Mateo cheer her on to try tiny, do-able swaps. With a reusable bottle, a metal fork, a cloth napkin, and a brave "No straw, please," Lola leads a "Less Plastic Parade" and squeaks her way back to warm, huggable Lola.

From author Kimberlee Everson, Lola and the Clicky Cups is a squeaky-silly tale in the Green with a Giggle series that blends big giggles with a gentle, hopeful message: convenience can be tricky, but choosing reusables is kind-and still full of fun. Perfect for ages 5-9, classrooms, and family story time, it ends with Lola's rallying cry, "Less plastic, more fantastic!" plus a handy Lola's Less-Plastic Playbook for easy kid-friendly tips.
